Ebony
A symbol of power, purity, balance, protection and luck. This wood is said to amplify magnetic energy and is revered as the most powerful and protective of wood types. Ebony has a long standing history from being revered in Egypt for its beauty and mystery, to being used in the handles of Samurai swords. Its bark is also used as a dark blue pigment in cloth painting, and is the most ideal wood for musical instruments because of its stability and superior tonality and clear tone. Burl
Burl wood is the result of a unique occurrence in the way the wood grows on some trees. Not the name of an actual tree, but instead the result of an area of growth usually near the trunk, (or sometimes even underground), where an area is filled with knots. This can result in the tree looking deformed in some manner from the outside, but on the inside, the wood is filled with beautiful, natural twirling swirls. Wine Barrel
We started using wine barrels for jewelry after our partner in the wine business, Adega Northwest had a barrel that was no longer usable for wine, and they asked if we could use it for anything. We were excited at the opportunity to incorporate the wine barrel into new pieces, and so started experimenting with the wood, which catapulted the story of how our collaboration with them grew into both jewelry and wine. Bacote wood is a visually striking exotic wood that is used because of its gorgeous features. It typically features a wide variety of contrast and grain patters that can vary is shade and color as well. Bacote is a bold and eye catching wood.

Bloodwood
This South American wood has a vivid bright red color. It is extremely dense with a fine straight grain and not an easy wood to work with.
Birch
Birch is a hardwood that has a fine straight grain and even texture. Prized for its strength and durability it is commonly used to make furniture.
Alder
This honey colored hardwood is native to the Pacific Northwest. It is more flexible than most other hardwoods giving it excellent resistance to cracking. It's flexibility also provides additional comfort.

Maple is a hardwood with a light, creamy color and smooth grain pattern. Its impressive durability makes it a prime choice for furniture, bowling alleys, baseball bats, and more.

Brass

Rose Brick
Rose brick is a historical material originating from 1883's The Rose Brick Company's bricks made from the rich clay deposits along the bank of the Hudson River. With an ethos of providing incredible care for its workers, the company was so successful, that founder John C. Rose founded a small town near the site, and named it Roseton. With a philosophy that supported happy, skilled workers, the company was comprised of the best brickmakers who took pride in their work.
